LA LA LAND

News

Hola,

In Los Angeles now from Austin, Texas. Been sickly but feeling better. Spent most of south by south west confined to barracks in or near the hotel, trying to shake the man flu. Bummer. Only managed to see The Magic Numbers and Nine Black Alps at La Zona Rosa, out of a milion things that were happening. They were both great. Our gig Thursday, turned out fine and 2 days later we did an 'instore' at a record store called Waterloo. Just acoustic. These things tend to illicit groans from all concerned, so we went in to it thinking 'fuck it, its 1/2 an hr of our time'! Ended up really enjoying it. Lovely crowd. Jam packed. S.X.S.W....would love to go as a music fan sometime. Great atmosphere.

L.A now. Just been told the room I'm in at the Hyatt on Sunset Strip was Little Richard's home for twenty years!! God knows what action it's seen. Ha Hah! We're playing Nick Harcourt's Sound's Eclectic on KCRW today Nick's a nice man. This is our 3 or 4th session for him. Then it's the El Ray Theatre later tonight.

And it would not come as any shock to see defenseman Chris Pronger, who had another 31-minute night, take the honors for the Conn Smythe Trophy as the playoff MVP.
