From Oxygen to Australia

Hello all,
It's been a while...I have no excuse for this !
Memories of Oxygen festival in Ireland...The Super Furries stole the show as ever. Quite quite brilliant.
Gruff mentioned that 10 years strong and ther still playing the new bands tent. Should have headlined the whole festival if Doves were organisers.
Writing this from Perth south west Australia. The tour has been fantastic. Weve got 'Evil' Eddie richardson from 'the Primals' doing the sound at the moment as our soundman Paul Ramsay is taking time out due to the fact him and his partner have just had their second child, a little boy. Congratulations !!
Really enjoyed the second Melbourne gig the second Sydney the Brisbane and Adelaide shows. Splendour in the grass was ace. We played good but really enjoyed Q.O.T.S.A and Bloc party. Highlight was Interpol though. What a band.
Nice peeps too. Also went Humpback whale watching in Byron bay. AS truly memorable experience.
Australia is lovely in winter. We have no experience of it in their summer we always play in winter, being english though this is summer !
Perth tonight then fly to Japan for Fuji rock.
We wont leave it so long for the next dispatch.

Edmonton dominated the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday night and the 4-0 margin in Game 6 makes it hard to imagine the Oilers not hoisting hockey's Holy Grail above their heads in less than 48 hours. And it would not come as any shock to see defenseman Chris Pronger, who had another 31-minute night, take the honors for the Conn Smythe Trophy as the playoff MVP.
