Hi doves

Just returned from John Bramwell from Kloot gig at the green room which was fab. Think you should do one of those big bands in small venues events. My friend and I thought it was ace and very moving.

Greetings Doves,

Condolences.

It may be a stretch before 'hitting' the road again. I'm a new fan. Some Cities was moving and I haven't yet scratched the surface of The Last Broadcast. After your 18 month tour, do you see a trip to Canada in your midst:)? Toronto would love to have you! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

Nat,

Hej,

since i dont find anywhere else to post, im just going off topic here:
Good music, but i regret spending money on "some cities".
Although cd protection like that is no problem for me personally to get around, i loathe it.
Greed anyone?

hi,

i am nil karaibrahimgil.
i'm a singer from istanbul.
during the production of my third album, we were recording a song
titled: kamikaze.
the song says that love is like a kamikaze. its a fast ride to a wall,
but still makes you fly.
actually it starts with the lyrics: shhh, be quiet, they will find us,
find us and tear us apart.
its about the fragile state that lovers find themselves in. then comes kamikaze.

while we were recording it, the tv was on mute. there was a video.
it was: sky starts falling by the doves.
it was the video of my song. with all the planes. and the black and white.

it was the video of doves, and me.

an istanbul request goes like this: can i use it here in turkey as my
video and share it with doves?
my motivation is 'nothing is impossible'.
so i asked...

if you want to see me: go youtube. search for 'pirlanta'. (its the
first video of my third, it suggests women to go and buy their own
diamond rings.)

if you want to listen to kamikaze, go to your inbox again. ozinga will
be sending it to you.

it was fun to ask for such a thing.
thank ruben suterland for me for inspiration.

thank you, too. so much.

Whoa weird! I've only recently purchased 'The Last Broadcast' (for my Mum to give me as a Christmas present!) and have been playing it for weeks before I give it to her to wrap up for me :). Yesterday, I was telling a work colleague about the mighty Love and how 'Forever Changes' was my favourite album of all time, and I did a web search for Arthur Lee to show this person more about the band - and ended up here. Now, I can't say I'd noticed any obvious influence on Doves by the work of Arthur Lee et al but anyone who has an RIP page on this much-missed genius is ok with me. I'm wearing my 'Love' tour t-shirt as I write this and, in this corner of the world at least, Arthur Lee will always be remembered.

Did I mention that a friend bought 'Forever Changes' for me on my 18th birthday in 1971? (Go figure! - as our American friends say)
